Happy 1 month Anniversary

Yesterday marked our first month together as husband and wife...God time has passed so quickly....Bought her a bouquet of roses online and have it delivered at home. She received it while she was preparing lunch with mum...Dad commented "Ceh, baru satu bulan, macam lah dah satu tahun..." which is quite obvious he was envy of me..hehehe...give it up dad, u know you dont do those kind of stuff for mama..She called me instantly at work to say she received the lovely suprise and thanked me for it...

I just cant shake off this feeling that im really a married man..im sharing my bed with somebody now ( who btw hogs the blanket ) ,who persistently calls everyday while im at work just to shake off her 'rindu' telling me to come home soon.. it feels like only yesterday that i was hanging around the mamak with Lan and the gang talking nonsense, being carefree with no huge responsiblities lingering on our mind. Now maturity has set in and reality has really really set in. Now seeing Lan having his first born makes me feel that i will be the next in line to have a Jr.

All in due time i say, all in due time...for now i am enjoying my life with my wifey...just the two of us...

Sayang, here's to many more anniversaries!!!

Back to Reality

Finally its over, the dash to the airports to fetch and drop relatives, the utter chaos at home preparing the souvenirs, the reherseals. I can catch my breath now...phew...But it was all worth it...Im very grateful to have wonderful family and friends to help , support and assist me through it all..

Last night was tough for my wife as we had to say goodbye to them as they took the last Air Asia flight back to Jakarta..Her mum was crying, sobbing while hugging her youngest daughter..Even back at my place when she was saying goodbye to Mama she was already shedding tears..I can understand how she feels...Having to leave a kid in a foreign country far away. I promised her that i will take good care of her daughter, being a responsible husband and all.I cant help but to feel sad for her too.

I was still feeling lethargic as i got back to work yesterday...almost caught some zzzz's while i was working in front of the PC...I took 6 days off earlier to prepare for my akad nikah in Jakarta which was on the 14 of July, then i went back to work the following day for the next 5 days before i took my 4 days leave for my KL reception...shitloads of email to be read and executed...last count 300+...crazy corporate world...everything also urgent...where is the worklife balance there?

So the life continues for this newly wed....

Finally Hitched

God it has been awhile since ive last posted a blog....Been excruciatingly busy with the wedding prep and getting the paperworks for my wife to come into Malaysia...But all the blood, sweat and tears has been worthwhile...Right now everybody at home is busy preparing for the KL reception this coming Saturday...

Left KL for Jakarta on the 11th of July 2007 in lieu of my wedding to one Rizka Aliza Sarunia Bt Raden Haji Sarwoko.
On Friday, 13th of July 2007 (egads!!! Friday the 13th!!!!) a strong group of 19 fm KL & SG chartered a bus fm Aston Hotel in Karet Semanggi to head to Jati Makmur in Bekasi to be part of the Siraman. (bathed in flower water) It was a half day event fm 9 am till noon.

Saturday, 14th of July, 40 peeps representing the groom, attended the akad nikah and reception at Persada Executive Golf Club in Halim. Akad nikah was held around 3 pm that included the bride asking for forgiveness from the folks, followed by the solemnisation by the groom and concluded with the "Sungkeman" ( an act whereby both newlyweds bow their heads on the laps of the parents as a sign of respect and asking for forgiveness ).

Then at 9 pm the same day, the dinner reception was held. It is nothing like any reception in KL.
The pelamin was staged for the newlyweds, and both side of the parents. We were standing there all day for all the guests to queue and congratulate the family. There was about 800 people that night..So imagine the long hours standing there and taking pictures...It was unbearable but fun. As a closing my wife went on stage and sang beautifully 2 songs to entertain the guests.

Thank you to those who showed their love and support to me and my family (in no particular order):
